On April 15, 2009, several leading lights of India’s fast-track animation industry including Biju D, Star Screen award winner for best special effects for the film Bhoothnath and Xavier Roig, the London-based animation expert (Hellboy 2, Harry Potter 5 and Doom), led a freewheeling interaction with over 500 animation aspirants in Delhi’s famous Sirifort Auditorium. The event was sponsored and managed by the Mumbai-based Frameboxx Animation & Visual Effects Pvt. Ltd.
“We believe that such interaction is very necessary for animation career aspirants and we have made an effort to bring top industry professionals and the student community together on a common platform. Animation has a tremendous future in India. Such seminars create awareness within the student community of the unlimited career opportunities in animation. I am sure this is an interaction most students will cherish,” said Naveen Gupta, CEO and executive director, Frameboxx, speaking on the occasion.
The highlight of the seminar was the presence of actor Kunal Kapoor, who played a major role in the big budget animation film, Mahayodha Ram, releasing this summer.
