LearnHub.com, a social learning network managed by the Canada-based Savvica Inc, announced its LearnHub Dream Study Abroad Scholarships on April 8. LearnHub scholarships enable undergrad students studying abroad. Savvica is a subsidiary of the Delhi-based Educomp Solutions Ltd.
“The LearnHub Scholarship is in fact a bursary, with a one-time grant of $2,000 (Rs.1 lakh) to be used to buy books or pay fees. Selected students get this bursary once they join college abroad and complete the first semester. These scholarships will be awarded every six months to an applicant who is an Indian citizen and a member of LearnHub. The first student to be awarded the scholarship will be selected in September,” says Malgosia Green, chief executive of LearnHub.
According to Green, scholarship winners will be felicitated and counseled on how to extract the maximum from higher education institutions abroad.
