New NHRDN web portals

The National HRD Network (NHRDN), the apex body of human resource development professionals in India, launched its web2.0 portals (www.nationalhrd.org and www.hrdnetworkdelhi.com) in New Delhi on March 19. The new NHRDN portals are designed to help HR professionals leverage the power of web2.0 and digital media for learning, knowledge sharing and professional networking.

“The launch of the new NHRDN web2.0 portals are an important step towards building a cohesive and interactive platform for Indian HRD professionals to satisfy their learning and networking needs. Not only will this help in promoting human resources development countrywide, but it will also provide an online gateway for knowledge dissemination among Indian professionals,” said Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar, member of the Planning Commission, at the launch ceremony attended by a large number of HR professionals.

“HR has come of age in this country. There is a huge requirement from CEOs and business leaders who look to HR professionals for effective implementation of their plans and programmes for realising competitive advantage through people development strategies,” added Aquil Busrai, executive director, HR, IBM India and president of the National HRD Network.
