Everonn Systems CSR initiative

Everonn Systems India Ltd. (ESIL), the well-known Chennai-based education and training company, has launched a pilot programme to provide computer-aided learning to students of the Gandhiniketan Ashram School at T. Kallupatti in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India, inaugurated this corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme of ESIL on October 1.

Under this initiative, ESIL will provide superior quality digitalised content with visuals, animation and other interactive tools to the school’s students. Moreover teachers will be trained to use advanced ICT (information communication technologies).

“We believe the corporate sector can play a great role in improving learning outcomes in the schools of rural India. Under this initiative we will integrate 1,000 schools in rural areas through our in-house technologies and also rope in other corporate sponsors to provide rural children IT infrastructure, quality content and enabling interactive media for learning enhancement,” said R. Kannan director of ESIL speaking on the occasion.

Currently ESIL has 232 schools, 239 colleges and 29 retail centres on its virtual platform and provides ICT-enabled education services to 4,200 schools countrywide under the private-public partnership model.
