Universal Learn Today (ULT) Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Living Media Ltd (publisher of India Today, Business Today etc) and promoter of the Vasant Valley School, Delhi and Educomp Infrastructure and School Management Ltd (EISML), a subsidiary of the Delhi-based Educomp Solutions Ltd (ESL), have concluded an agreement to jointly establish Vasant Valley schools across India.
As per the agreement, ULT and EISML will promote 30 Vasant Valley K-12 schools countrywide over the next few years. The two partner companies will provide management services, educational infrastructure as well as learning systems to the proposed schools. The new schools will be promoted under the Vasant Valley brand name and will incorporate the pedagogical philosophy of Vasant Valley School, Delhi while leveraging Educomp’s deep commitment to education excellence.
“We look forward to increasing our footprint and making Vasant Valley schools accessible to more people across the country,” said Living Media chairman and India Today editor-in-chief Aroon Purie, addressing a press conference in Delhi on May 27.
This sentiment was echoed by Shantanu Prakash, managing director of ESL and EISML. “Schools with fine traditions and impeccable track records should not be restricted geographically but reach as many students as possible across the country. Our alliance with ULT is a step in that direction since Vasant Valley is among the highest-rated schools in Delhi NCR and indeed countrywide,” said Prakash, who added that the first school under this partnership is scheduled to become operational in Gurgaon in 2012.
