Oberoi International’s open house

To enable prospective students and parents to assess and evaluate the education experience offered by the Oberoi International School (OIS), Mumbai (estb. 2008), the school’s management has introduced its ‘A day at OIS’ open house programme. Under the aegis of the programme, any prospective student is invited to spend an entire day to take in all the school has to offer.

“A prospective student may attend any age-appropriate class and interact with fellow students, learn from teachers and participate in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the class. Students from varied school backgrounds — private or public — are welcome to register and choose to spend a day at OIS. They will be given access to all of the school’s facilities, which include badminton and basketball courts and swimming pool, as well as classroom facilities such as computers, stationery, lab equipment etc. This way they can experience what OIS has to offer them, and gauge the pulse of the unique learning environment of this internationally benchmarked school,” says Andreas Swaboda, former vice principal of the German European School, Singapore (2004-09) who served with several upscale schools in Kenya (1993-2001) and Thailand prior to taking charge of OIS early this year.

Moreover this state-of-the-art K-12 school, affiliated to the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE, UK) and IBO (International Baccalaureate Organisation, Geneva) examination boards, also offers its ‘OIS School Tour’ for parents enabling a prospective student’s parents to tour the entire school premises.

OIS is sited in a multi-storey, centrally air conditioned campus spread over 10 acres in the Oberoi Garden City, Goregaon East, Mumbai.
